In this episode of the Sweatpants Chronicles we’re talking about something that it seems we all do – make ourselves feel terrible by comparing ourselves to complete strangers! We discuss why we do this and how we can work to change our negative thought patterns. We also talk about ways women can work to lift each other up instead of putting one another down. And we share some advice from one of our favorite authors, Constance Hall. You can click here to check out her book, Like a Queen.
Cassidy: Bulletproof Coffee – I’ve been drinking it every morning! It’s coffee with butter and coconut oil and I like to top it with a little bit of vanilla.
Tristi: “1-800-273-8255” by Logic – This is a song that Logic premiered at the VMA’s recently and my kids have been obsessed with it ever since. The name is actually the phone number for the Suicide Hotline. The song is all about teaching kids that when they get down and feel like there is nothing to live for that there is someone out there who cares and wants them to keep on living. It’s such an important message! You can listen to the whole song by clicking here or check out the VMA’s performance by clicking here.
